I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really happening.
